AGES - CHILDREN
EduCare of Texas serves children with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental
disabilities who also require complex medical support. We specialize
in working with children who have multiple/complex physical disabilities,
active seizure disorders, conditions requiring breathing treatments,
and children requiring g-tube feedings or who are incapable of participating
in self-medication procedures. Our residential facilities offer parents
the comfort and security of knowing that our around-the-clock licensed
nurses and direct support professionals are trained to meet the unique
needs of these children.
The residences offer children activities that are developmentally appropriate.
The environment promotes socialization, motor skills development, language
enhancement, self-help skills, and cognitive remediation. Related services
include: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Pathology, Adapted
Physical Education, and transportation. The children are provided opportunities
for self-expression through creative and therapeutic activities.
Our residences have arrangements with various day programs in the area,
the capability to provide day programming on the premises, and working
arrangements with multiple local school districts.
