ANNETTE JOHNSON

Annette Lautner Johnson graduated with honors from Purdue University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education and a minor in Family Living Studies. She has been in the health care field for over 20 years and has held a wide range of positions including direct care worker, home manager, social services coordinator and nutrition educator.

Ms. Johnson and her family moved to Austin, Texas in 1994. As Executive Director for ResCare in Austin and the surrounding areas, she manages 22 small and medium group homes, in addition to a specialty facility, Esperanza, that serves children who are medically fragile. She also operates eight Home and Community Services (HCS) group homes, with three more due to open later this year. Ms. Johnson oversees the Texas Home Living and CLASS programs in the Austin area.
