BILL YOUNG

William “Bill” Young, Executive Director, has worked for EduCare of Texas for the last 16 years. Originally from Wisconsin, he began his career with EduCare of Texas in Beaumont, first as a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional and then as Administrator. In 1997, he moved to Houston to serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist. Bill was named to an Executive Director position for the Houston area in October of 2003. As Executive Director, Bill oversees 26 ICF/MR group homes, a HCS program comprised of 48 individuals, a CLASS program comprised of 78 individuals, two day programs, and 400 employees who support these consumers in the community.

I fully expect the employees I supervise to enjoy their work, for if the employees have a good time working with the individuals we support, their contagious joy and enthusiasm enhances our clients’ quality of life.”
