Jane SteurAustin, Texas, December 23, 2005 – EduCare of Texas announces the unveiling of its new website at www.EduCareTexas.com. The website was launched as part of EduCare of Texas’ on-going commitment to educate, inform, and interact with our customers, friends, families, clients, caregivers, professionals and anyone else interested in issues that effect the quality of life of individuals of all ages who have cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.

“We are very excited about our new capability,” says Jane Steur, Vice President of EduCare of Texas. “It marks the first time we have an identity on the World Wide Web and it offers us an incredible opportunity to communicate with our customers in ways that are meaningful to them.”

Visitors to the website will be able to view information about the services that EduCare of Texas offers, funding sources that are available, and locations where services are provided. Innovative mapping capabilities allow the visitor to search for locations, services, or funding availability using a county map or structure query.

Mike HarrisAccording Mike Harris, Director of Human Resources for EduCare of Texas, “One of the goals of our new website is to help improve the recruitment of employees, especially Direct Support Professionals. Our website will allow our Human Resource Managers throughout the state to post all open positions by location, shift, schedule, and job description, thereby making it much easier for an applicant to see what positions are available.”

In addition to the English version of the website, EduCare of Texas will release in the next few months a Spanish language version and a version that is more easily accessible for our web users with disabilities. The accessible version of the site will be Bobby and W3C WAI-_A compliant.
